RETRO REVIVAL : WHEN VINTAGE MEET PUNK The photo shoot was done in a gas station, and I chose to create a vintage and punk look. I chose a set with very short shorts and a rhinestone bikini top for a bold but feminine look. I toned down the set with a heavy black leather jacket, which reinforced the rock'n'roll look. My platform shoes were thigh-high dupes of the famous Marc Jacobs pair, which you tie with laces. This pair was an essential part of the look for me, as it fit perfectly into the gothic and sexy world I wanted to create. The goal of this style was to develop a styling inspired by the punk popstars of the 80s, while avoiding clichés. I tried to find the right balance between retro and modern, in order to create an original and current look, which reflects my personality and especially my fashion sense. In truth, the message I've always advocated is to be yourself. This look is perfect for my portfolio because it highlights my ability to innovate and find solutions to create unique and bold looks, while maintaining a professional aesthetic.
IN "SUN" LATION The shoot took place in two parts, first in a gas station and then in a tanning salon. We wanted to recreate a retro look and for this, the photographer and I felt that the gas station in the neighborhood would totally fit in a "worn" and "vintage" atmosphere. I wanted to bring to life a look inspired by the neighborhood DIVA. The corset top with sequin adds a touch of sophistication and glamour, while the mini skirt revealed an assumed femininity. To give the look a different look, in the spirit of another universe, we decided to change the decor. That's how we found ourselves in a tanning center. The neon lights of the UV booth immediately caught our eye. The contrast of the vintage outfit to the lights gave a sexy-futuristic look to the whole.
From Model to It Girl: The Story of a Playboy Icon This impromptu look was directly inspired by the iconic covers of the prestigious Playboy magazine. This is one of my future modeling goals so it makes sense for me to take inspiration from their iconic covers. This look was influenced by Kendall Jenner's photo shoot that paid homage to pin-up icon Pamela Anderson by riding a beautiful motorcycle. The pose with the biker leather jacket, an iconic sign of pop culture, has been reinterpreted to give life to a new cover that looks like me.
90's SEXY BBY GLAMOUROUS I was inspired by Destiny's Child, especially Beyoncé, for this Y2k look, an outfit that comes from the shelves of the brand Jaded London. The low-rise pant remains, in my opinion, a timeless piece that reflects the sexy and glamorous aesthetic of the 90's. This shoot was all about conveying a vintage vibe by revisiting the codes of the era in my own way. I'm totally addicted to the Y2k trend and low-rise pants. The look also features elements such as pink thongs and fur gaiters, which add a modern touch to the retro aesthetic.
GOTHIC AND SEXY This project was born after 8 months of hard work and is of great importance to me. As a model and art director, it is always a challenge for me to go beyond my own limits in order to reach the goals I have set for myself. Through my styling, I tried to transcribe this dark side of my personality without distorting my charisma. The hairstyle I chose to wear was symbolic of my state of mind at that moment. It represents very well this "dark/punk" side that I wanted to put forward. I wanted to play on the transparency of my outfit to add subtlety to my look without saturating my sex appeal. The model of the nails came from my imagination and the accessories were chosen by my own initiative. Details that, in my opinion, made all the difference. The expression of the body through clothing is, in my opinion, an area that requires a subtle approach, my primary objective being to obtain a harmonious result without going overboard.
JUICY BAE This "juicy" look is one of my favorite projects that, thanks to the photographer, was made possible. Fruity, sexy and refreshing, this shoot exudes freedom. As a stylist, I was lucky enough to be able to wear these amazing pieces from an American designer whose creations reflected exactly the style I was looking for. The hardest part as a DA was to find an original makeup that would match the final look without smothering my facial features. Sophisticated and effective, with interesting poses and facial expressions, I was able to pull off this sensational look.
MOTOSPORT This look is in a sporty/rock vibe thanks to these pink leather pants which are an ICONIC piece from a revolutionary London brand. I had some difficulties in the making of this look, whether it was in gathering the necessary pieces to assemble it or even during the shooting (shooting done in the rain). Nevertheless, the efforts used to obtain this result were really worth the price. The impressive colors are different shades of pink that manage to sublimate the skin tone of the model. The bikini top was specially designed on demand for the shoot by the designer Rachel Mayunga.
INSPIRED BY RIRI This look is simply inspired by Rihanna and more specifically by a promotional photo of her album ANTI released in 2016. This performer has influenced me a lot in my personality as well as in my art: Ambitious and sure of myself. I wanted, through this look and these images to transmit my passion.
Barbiana in french west indies This artistic project is one of those that brought me the most joy. For the first time, I was able to show what I was capable of AT HOME, because the shooting took place on the island where I grew up. All my projects were born in France, and having the opportunity to show my Caribbean community that my origins were an integral part of my inspiration motivated me even more. Menu of a flowery bikini, the motif a little "cliché" that fits in the Caribbean culture, worn with white stiletto heels and a short hairstyle bringing back a vines of the women of the 80s. All this accompanied by the mythical bag in loincloth. An idyllic rendering on an idyllic island.
BADDIES DO IT BETTER If you've made it this far, you've really enjoyed most of my looks! This one is actually one of the first ones I was able to put together, a "baddie" look, relatively the most "city" of all my looks put together and yet I love it so much. I'm happy to be able to put it forward because as much as I can elaborate more advanced, more expressive outfits, I can adapt to a vibe, a theme or a personality without forgetting my artistic paste.
